About Video

Releasable suture is a useful adjunctive step in trabeculectomy. This helps mainly in preventing the immediate postoperative shallow chamber. It is an alternative to argon laser suturolysis. Usually we apply one releasable at the apex and two fixed suture on the sides. The ideal time to release the suture is within 3 weeks if antimetabolite has not been used and within 6 weeks if antimetabolite has been used.
